How to Redeem Member Discounts

Free and Discounted Event Tickets

Members can redeem up to 8 free ZooLights tickets and save 20% on public event tickets all year long. Members-only opportunities and free or discounted event ticket benefits can be redeemed by logging in to Lincoln Park Zoo’s online ticketing platform. Before making a transaction, you will see a “Member Login” link:

• To log in, enter your 8 digit Member ID number and last name.
• Proceed with the transaction; member free ticket allocations and discounts will automatically be applied.

On-Grounds Discounts

• Zoo Restaurants and the Gift Shop: show your member card (physical or digital) at the register to redeem your 10% discount.
• Wagon and Stroller Rentals: show your member card at Searle Visitor Center to receive a 50% discount on wagon and stroller rentals.
• Ride tickets: show your member card at Searle Visitor Center or the Member Center to receive a discounted rate on ride ticket packs. Ride tickets can also be purchased online here. Log into your member profile before purchasing to automatically receive the discounted pack rate. Unsure how many tickets remain in your ticket pack? Visit the Member Center to check your balance!

Upcoming Members-Only Opportunities

Early Bird Mornings: Second Saturdays throughout the summer – May 11, June 8, July 13

Join us for Early Bird Mornings, a series of members-only hours this spring and summer!

Special benefits during the event include:

• Exclusive members-only access to zoo grounds from 8–10 a.m.
• Free rides on the AT&T Endangered Species Carousel and Lionel Train Adventure
• Free coffee, tea, and hot chocolate in the Member Center
• 20% discount on gift shop purchases

For animal care and welfare purposes, most buildings will remain closed until 10 a.m. to respect the routines of animals and keepers. Each Early Bird Morning, a select animal building will be open for members to enjoy. We will share which building will be open before the event.

Super Zoo Picnic: Friday, June 21

Join us for Super Zoo Picnic 2024 on Friday, June 21 from 5-8:30 p.m.!

Super Zoo Picnic is our exclusive, after-hours celebration just for Lincoln Park Zoo members. Members and their guests get the entire zoo to themselves for an evening of family fun!

Participants will enjoy a variety of activities, including:

• Free rides on Lionel Train Adventure and the AT&T Endangered Species Carousel
• Educational programming and animal chats
• Carnival games and inflatables
• Teddy Bear Clinic – get a full checkup of your favorite plush (make an appointment on-site!)
• Face painting
• Dancing to a DJ
• …and more!

Member Parking Instructions

Members save with discounted or free parking depending on membership level. The zoo parking lot is located at 2400 N Cannon Drive off Fullerton Avenue.

Please see below for instructions on how to redeem your parking benefit in the Cannon Drive lot.

Individual Members

Individual Members receive $12 flat rate parking each zoo visit. To receive your $12 parking rate:

• Upon entering the parking lot, scan the QR code on your digital member card or physical member card under the red-light scanner. This will produce a reduced-rate parking ticket, which will have an “M” printed on the bottom to reflect the member rate. Please do not push the button for a standard ticket!
• After your visit, insert your parking ticket at a pay station and pay the discounted $12 rate. Take the validated parking ticket.*
• When exiting the parking lot, insert your validated parking ticket at any exit lane to raise the gate.

*Your reduced rate expires 30 minutes after you receive the validated parking ticket.

Household Members

Household Members receive two free parking vouchers, which can be picked up at the Member Center. Each free parking voucher is valid for one-time use and must be used prior to its printed expiration date. Please dispose of any used parking vouchers. After the vouchers are used, Household Members receive $12 flat rate parking each zoo visit.

To use your free parking passes:

• Upon entering the parking lot, scan the QR code on your digital member card or physical member card under the red-light scanner. This will produce a reduced-rate parking ticket, which will have an “M” printed on the bottom to reflect the member rate. Please do not push the button for a standard ticket!
• When exiting the parking lot, first insert your parking ticket at any exit lane. Then scan the QR code on your free parking voucher under the red-light scanner to raise the gate. There is no need to stop at a pay station.

To receive your $12 parking rate:

• Upon entering the parking lot, scan the QR code on your digital member card or physical member card under the red-light scanner. This will produce a reduced-rate parking ticket, which will have an “M” printed on the bottom to reflect the member rate. Please do not push the button for a standard ticket!
• After your visit, insert your parking ticket at a pay station and pay the discounted $12 rate. Take the validated parking ticket.*
• When exiting the parking lot, insert your validated parking ticket at any exit lane to raise the gate.

Safari and Donor Club Members

Safari and Donor Club members receive free parking in the zoo lot all year long. To use your member parking benefit:

• Upon entering the parking lot, scan the QR code on your digital member card or physical member card under the red-light scanner to raise the gate. Please do not push the button for a standard ticket! The gate will lift upon exit without the need for a parking ticket.
• When exiting the parking lot, scan the QR code on your member card under the red-light scanner at any exit lane to raise the gate.

Please note only one car per membership is allowed in the lot per visit. Full parking information is available here.

Special note: Lincoln Park Zoo reserves the right to limit or restrict parking benefits on special event days, such as Chicago’s annual Air & Water show. Special rates may apply for these events.

Having issues with your member card when entering the lot? Please visit the Member Center (open 10 a.m.–4:30 p.m.) for any parking or membership question. We recommend you share any parking concerns at the Member Center prior to paying at a pay station at East Gate or exiting the lot. For parking refund requests, please email members@lpzoo.org for assistance.

Digital Member Card Tip

Using the QR code on the digital member card stored in your digital wallet? We recommend holding your smart phone vertically or at a 45-degree angle in front of the red light for the best scanning experience.
