Two Goat Brothers Make Their Debut at Lincoln Park Zoo

CHICAGO (August 21, 2025) – There are two new kids on the block at Lincoln Park Zoo! Five-month-old goat brothers Lincoln and Parker are now at home at Lincoln Park Zoo’s Farm-in-the-Zoo.

Lincoln and Parker, whose names are a true testament to how deep Chicago’s neighborhood pride can go, join their 1-year-old brothers Billy and Gruff, who have been at the zoo since 2024. The younger brothers are easy to identify by their striking blue eyes and tan coats. Parker has dark front legs that stand out from his lighter coat, and Lincoln is the smaller of the two.

The four brothers are part of a breed of domestic goat called Mini Nubians. This breed is known for its long, floppy ears, a trait which is quite evident on Lincoln, Parker, Billy, and Gruff.

Farm-in-the-Zoo, where the goats can be found, incorporates domestic farm animals and play-based learning to create a welcome space for first encounters with and exploration within the natural world. This space features a Main Barn geared toward open-ended play for toddlers and young children, as well as a Livestock Barn and Dairy Barn with outdoor yards for the animals. In addition to goats, the farm is also home to domestic cattle, chickens, pigs, rabbits, and ponies.
