Super Zoo Picnic is our exclusive, after-hours celebration just for Lincoln Park Zoo members. Members and their guests get the entire zoo to themselves for an evening of family fun!

Participants will enjoy a variety of free activities, including:

  • Rides on Lionel Train Adventure and the Endangered Species Carousel
  • Educational programming and animal chats
  • Inflatable slides and bouncy houses
  • Plush checkups at the Teddy bear clinic
  • Picnicking on south lawn
  • Carnival and inflatable games
  • Face painting
  • Dancing to a DJ

Ticket Information

This event is for members and their guests.

Tickets are $15. Children 5 and under are free and do not require a ticket.

Safari-level, Curators’ Circle, and Explorers’ Circle members will receive two free tickets. Ecologists’ Circle, Council Associate, Council Patron Council Steward, Council Ambassador, and Chairman’s Council members will receive four complimentary tickets.

Dine Outdoors at Super Zoo Picnic!

We invite groups to bring their own picnic spread along with blankets and chairs to enjoy a wonderful evening meal on the South Lawn. Food will be available to purchase at the event. Please do not bring glass containers for the safety of the animals and guests.

Can I come if I’m not a member?

Super Zoo Picnic is a members-only event, so you must be a member to purchase tickets at tickets.lpzoo.org. However, members are allowed to bring guests who are not members.

How do I get tickets?

Tickets can be purchased online at tickets.lpzoo.org. Since Super Zoo Picnic is a members-only event, you will need to log in with your 9-digit Member ID and last name in order to access tickets.

How much do tickets cost?

Tickets cost $15 each.

Does my child need a ticket?

Children 5 and under are free and do not require a ticket. Children 6 and up do require a ticket.

I’m eligible for free tickets. How do I redeem them?

If you’re a Safari member or Donor Club member, your member benefits include two or four free tickets. Free ticket redemptions will automatically be applied in your cart at checkout.

Is dinner provided?

Food and beverages are available for purchase. You’re also invited to bring a picnic dinner to enjoy on the South Lawn. Alcohol is not permitted.

Is this event accessible?

Yes!

What if it rains?

The event is rain or shine. In the event of rain, programming will be moved indoors where possible. Refunds will not be issued.

When can I arrive?

The event begins at 5 p.m. and ends at 8:30 p.m. You may arrive and depart at any time.

Is parking available?

Parking is available at the zoo’s lot, located at Fullerton Parkway and Cannon Drive (2400 N. Cannon Drive). Parking is first come, first served and not guaranteed.

The zoo is also accessible by CTA via the Armitage and Fullerton stations and by bus via the 22, 36, 151, and 156 routes.
