Invincibelle® Ruby Smooth Hydrangea

Invincibelle® ruby smooth hydrangea, a selection of the species native to Illinois, has blue-green foliage and dark burgundy flower buds that bloom into silvery-pink flowers in early summer. In the fall, the flowers dry and persist on the upright stems, providing cover for wildlife, until they are cut back in the spring. This shrub cultivar prefers average, well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade and is useful as an accent plant or as a group.
