Dreamcatcher hardy hibiscus is a perennial plant with dinner plate-sized, light pink, ruffled flowers that bloom in late summer to fall among bright green, maple-like leaves on red stems. This hibiscus is a cultivar that is a result of crossing Hibiscus moscheutos and Hibiscus coccineus. It grows best in medium to wet soil in full sun or partial shade and is useful as an accent plant or in perennial borders. Its pollen-covered stamen attracts bees and other pollinators, and its flowers are a browse favorite for the animals at Lincoln Park Zoo.
