The Wish List – Provide Direct Support to the Animal of Your Choice!

The Zoo’s Wish List provides an inexpensive yet gratifying way to directly support the animals. Simply explore the list and see what the animals need. Then, buy a share of a food, enrichment, bedding or other item that contributes to the animals’ wellbeing. From filling feeding tubes for the chimpanzees to providing mirrors for Bomani the De Brazza’s monkey on his birthday, you can choose where your money goes.

ADOPT an Animal – The Perfect Gift for the Holidays!

When you ADOPT an animal, you recognize that the zoo’s first priority is to provide expert care for the animals that live here, whether that means formulating special diets, tracking behavior, providing physical exams, or introducing stimulating habitat elements. This donation allows you to make a real impact on an individual animal’s life—and it makes a great gift for the holidays.

Members are the lifeblood of the zoo’s operation. They fund animal and plant care, global conservation initiatives, learning programs, and scientific research while helping to keep admission free for everyone. It costs $93,000 a day to keep this privately-managed nonprofit organization running, and individual givers like you cover 80 percent of that cost with memberships and donations.
