Waterfowl lagoon

Waterfowl Lagoon

The mudflats and shoreline at Waterfowl Lagoon encourage the resident Chilean flamingos and swan geese to engage in species-specific behaviors common in the wild, such as foraging for food and building mud towers for nesting. During the colder months, the birds retreat to the warm confines of the indoor flamingo habitat.

Commitment to Care

Animals may not be visible at all times. To promote positive animal welfare, we provide animals with choices. They can choose to spend time in areas that are out of public view.
