Women’s Board

Women’s Board

Founded in 1976 with a mission to provide funds and service to The Lincoln Park Zoological Society, the Women’s Board of Lincoln Park Zoo has now grown to approximately 115 members. Members are civic, social, and business leaders from Chicago and the surrounding suburbs.

The Women’s Board of Lincoln Park Zoo actively raises funds to keep the zoo free and support its capital, conservation, and education efforts. Members serve as ambassadors to the community, celebrating Chicago’s most treasured wildlife experience.

Annual Events

Zoo Ball

Zoo Ball, Lincoln Park Zoo’s largest fundraiser, draws more than 800 leaders in the business, civic, and philanthropy communities to the zoo for THE party of the summer. This elegant evening includes a cocktail hour, seated dinner, paddle raise, silent auction, and dancing.

ZooLA

ZooLA (Zoo Live Auction) is an intimate cocktail reception attended by approximately 200 guests, featuring a live auction with 20–25 unique, high-end packages. The party unfolds in a beautiful private club, setting the stage for a very personal, philanthropic experience. This biennial event is held every other fall.

Women Supporting Wildlife

The inaugural Women Supporting Wildlife event was held in 2019. The event features a prominent, dynamic speaker whose topic aligns with Lincoln Park Zoo’s mission: connecting people with nature by providing a free, family-oriented wildlife experience in the heart of Chicago and by advancing the highest quality of animal care, education, science, and conservation.
