Retail volunteers are currently being accepted, and on-the-job training will begin immediately after an initial orientation.

Guest Relations Volunteers and Guest Engagement Ambassadors are currently being accepted for fall. GRVs and GEAs will be required to attend a flexible-date orientation as well as full-day training sessions on each of the following days:

  • Friday, September 18 from 9 a.m.–5 p.m. (GRV and GEA)
  • Friday, September 25 from 9 a.m.–5 p.m. (GRV and GEA)
  • Friday, October 2 from 9 a.m.–5 p.m. (GEA only)

* For those who cannot make these training dates, additional GRV and GEA training opportunities will be offered in spring 2016.

All other positions (including all Gardening and Farm-in-the-Zoo) will resume recruitment in February 2016.

A waitlist has been established for those interested in becoming a ZooMonitor. The recruitment timeline for ZooMonitor is to be determined. You are welcome to fill out an application now for future opportunities.

We are always accepting volunteers for our ongoing special events. If you’re interested in being added to our special events list, please let us know.
