10 6:30 p.m.–Midnight Zoo Ball: Spots & Stripes Forever! Women’s Board of Lincoln Park Zoo Presents: Zoo Ball 2009: Spots & Stripes Forever! Come celebrate an American treasure as the zoo’s Main Mall is transformed into an elegant outdoor setting for a black-tie evening of cocktails, entertainment, dancing and gourmet dining. 17 10:30 a.m.–Noon WTTW Readers Are Leaders Lincoln Park Zoo is proud to host the WTTW Readers Are Leaders summer tour! This special event will feature stories and songs from special guest Miss Lori, from Miss Lori’s CAMPUS, as well as story time with Mr. Brandon.
This free performance, taking place on the zoo’s Main Mall, is perfect for families with children in preschool through early elementary school. The first 200 children in the audience will receive a goody bag with a free children’s book. For a complete summer tour schedule, visit wttw.com/readersareleaders.

24 Noon Spooky Zoo Spectacular! Spooky Zoo Spectacular is an opportunity for children to celebrate Halloween in a free, safe and family-friendly environment. Guests are invited to learn fun facts about the animals in the Spooky Zoo Education Zone, partake in crafts, collect treats and enjoy entertainment throughout the zoo while dressed in their best or spookiest costume. The Auxiliary Board hosts this eagerly anticipated annual event.

27 5 p.m.–9 p.m. ZooLights Presented by ComEd Begins Marvel at more than 1.5 million lights while strolling through the zoo. Visit Santa, make crafts, see live ice carving, ride the carousel, sip hot cocoa or warm spiced wine and view the animals via moonlight. Friday, Saturday & Sunday nights beginning Nov. 27

Story Time
Family favorite program Story Time returns on Feb. 9! Join us every Monday and Wednesday at 9:15 and 10 a.m. in the Farmhouse at the Farm-in-the-Zoo Presented by John Deere. Professor Boonie performs on Mondays. Mr. Singer takes the stage on Wednesdays. Story Time is free, geared toward children ages 1–5.
