Thanks to a population management collaboration between Lincoln Park Zoo and other Association of Zoos and Aquariums-accredited institutions, a colorful new emerald starling hatchling has joined its parents at McCormick Bird House. Look for the bird’s iridescent green chest and wings and deep purple markings on its belly and around its eyes. In the wild, male and female emerald starlings cooperatively nest and care for their young.
