About

Danielle began her career as a primate keeper at Brookfield Zoo Chicago in 2000 before transitioning to the role of Zoological Manager of Primates at Lincoln Park Zoo in 2018.

Now, as Curator of Primates, Danielle is responsible for the care of animals at Regenstein Center for African Apes, Helen Brach Primate House, and Regenstein Macaque Forest, plus a team of 14 animal keepers. Danielle collaborates with other animal managers at Lincoln Park Zoo and uses her taxonomic experience to manage primate species across the zoo.

Danielle is the Species Survival Plan® Coordinator and Studbook Keeper for Angolan Colobus as well as treasurer and steering committee member for the African-Eurasian Monkey Taxon Advisory Group. She also participates in the Ape TAG as a steering committee member.
