Dani graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where she studied Animal Sciences. As an undergrad, she had opportunities to study abroad in Peru as a veterinary assistant with Volunteers Around the World and intern at Hill’s Pet Nutrition with their research and development team.

She started her journey with wildlife conservation as a King Conservation Science Scholar teen volunteer at Chicago Zoological Society/Brookfield Zoo. There she had the opportunity to teach guests about animals at the zoo and conduct her own behavioral research project.

Dani joined Lincoln Park Zoo in March 2022 as a Program Assistant for the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) Population Management Center (PMC). In this role, she assists population biologists with the distribution of Breeding and Transfer Plans, maintains related databases, and provides administrative support.
