Event Details

Sensory-Friendly Hours at Lincoln Park Zoo benefit guests of all ages who identify as disabled, neurodiverse, sensory sensitive, or autistic. These free events are also designed for people living with dementia, blind or low vision, or chronic illnesses, plus members of the Deaf community.

During these quarterly sensory-friendly hours, such as Sensory-Friendly Mornings and Sensory-Friendly Days, guests experience the zoo grounds and animal buildings in a comfortable and inclusive way. All attendance requires pre-registration at the links below.

Sensory-Friendly Mornings

These free mornings give guests access to the entire zoo before regular opening hours. Animal buildings and attractions are available for self-paced exploration, and crowd size is limited. Registration is required to attend.

Farm-in-the-Zoo

Sensory-Friendly Days at Farm-in-the-Zoo

These free hours give guests access to Farm-in-the-Zoo between 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Animal buildings may be open—but the animals have the choice whether or not to be visible. Low-sensory activities will be available. Registration is required to attend.
