Students from Infinity Math, Science & Technology High School in Little Village and John Hancock College Prep in the West Elsdon neighborhood were recognized for completing Partners in Fieldwork at the Chicago City Council’s June 22 meeting. Eight Chicago Public Schools participated in this year-long learning program, which provides the opportunity for high school students to join the zoo’s Urban Wildlife Institute as “student field researchers,” collecting data with the help of their teacher from a field station they set up on their school campus.
