Physical Description
Bali mynas have striking white plumage, black wing tips, bright blue coloration around their eyes, a yellow-tipped beak, and grayish-blue feet. These Asian songbirds often gather in groups to better locate food and watch for predators. They reside in treetops and nest in tree cavities, where females lay and incubate two to three eggs.
Interesting Fact 1
Bali mynas are nearly extinct in the wild due to poaching for the illegal pet and wildlife trade, where they are valued for their striking plumage and beautiful songs.
Interesting Fact 2
Males attract females by calling loudly and bobbing up and down.
Interesting Fact 3
Both males and females look after recently hatched chicks.
