Special Events Volunteer Positions

Don’t have enough time to volunteer once a week? Special Events allows you volunteer at various times throughout the year.  ZooLights runs from Thanksgiving through New Year’s Day and Run for the Zoo is the first Sunday of June each year. We need lots of volunteer help at both of those zoo events.  Simply e-mail volunteer@lpzoo.org for more information about signing up.

All applicants must meet the following requirements.

• Must be 14 years or older.
• Have a positive attitude and strictly adhere to Lincoln Park Zoo policies, procedures and guest-service standards.
• Must be comfortable being outdoors in all weather conditions.

Help Make United Run for the Zoo a Success

The annual United Run for Zoo is quickly approaching! To ensure the success of the race, volunteers are needed throughout the morning of the race, which will take place Sunday, June 3.

Here are areas we could use your help!

• 6–10:15 a.m. Registration
• 6–10:15 a.m. Packet Pick-Up
• 6–11 a.m. Gear Check
• 7–11 a.m. Finish Line
• 8:45–11 a.m. Kids Race

This event is for early risers. The minimum age requirement is 16 years of age.
