Serengeti Health Initiative

The Serengeti Health Initiative aims to preserve the African region's rich wildlife while benefiting local people. Through wildlife surveillance, vaccination programs and research on how wild animals, domestic animals and humans interact, this collaborative effort will build a better understanding of the Serengeti ecosystem, one that can help keep it healthy and whole.

Population Management Center

Hosted at Lincoln Park Zoo in partnership with the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, the Population Management Center guides breeding and transfers for zoos throughout North America. Scientific matchmakers analyze family trees to find the best matches for breeding—keeping populations healthy well into the future.

Education at Lincoln Park Zoo

Every year Lincoln Park Zoo gives millions of guests the opportunity to learn in a living classroom. Whether it's students stepping into a scientist's shoes through Zoo Explorers or teens earning their first job with the Malott Family Zoo Intern Program, the zoo has plenty of avenues for people to expand their worldviews.
