Established in 1868, Lincoln Park Zoo is among the oldest zoological gardens in the country, but it is also among the most modern — a leader in wildlife conservation, community education and recreation. The Project N.O.A.H literacy program works with teachers from Chicago Public Schools to motivate students to read. Teacher development workshops conducted by the zoo's Education Department help educators use the zoo's wonders to foster students' love for literacy. |
