Join us at Lincoln Park Zoo during your day off from school! Presidents Day Camp offers exciting learning opportunities for animal and nature lovers in PreK–fourth grade. Each camp group will explore the zoo and participate in a variety of activities. Activities will focus on animal diversity, environmental conservation and the ways Lincoln Park Zoo cares for animals at the zoo and conserves them in the wild.
The theme for this camp is “All About Primates.” Have you ever wondered why some primates change colors throughout their lives? Can you tell what part of the world a monkey is from just by looking at it? Campers will explore the fascinating world of primates, from how they raise their young to how scientists at the zoo study ape behavior, helping to conserve primates in the wild.

About the Camp Staff
Each camp group is lead by a camp instructor. These professionals have extensive experience working with children and a demonstrated commitment to connecting children to the natural world. Camp instructors facilitate all educational components of the camp day, but groups also have the chance to meet zoo staff throughout the week, from veterinarians to zookeepers to scientists. Zoo volunteers will also support each camp group as they travel around the zoo and participate in activities.
