United Run for the Zoo at Lincoln Park Zoo

The United Run for Zoo is always a highlight on the Chicago running calendar—and hugely popular: the race SOLD OUT in 2014! The race benefits Lincoln Park Zoo, helping to keep it free and open 365 days a year. In response to participant feedback, there are several changes and improvements in store for the 33rd annual edition of the race in 2015. Here are some of the highlights:

  • New Balance tech shirt for all 10K and 5K participants with gender-specific sizing
  • New and improved courses for both the 5K and 10K
  • New start times for the 5K and 10K
  • New start line procedure with pace signs and divisions for an improved start experience
  • New location for race day packet pick-up for an easier and more convenient experience
  • The Safari Stampede is back in 2015 by popular demand: this mini-obstacle course is designed specifically for kids to express their inner animal!
