Spooky Zoo Spectacular, hosted by the Auxiliary Board, is an opportunity for children to celebrate Halloween in a free, safe and family-friendly environment. Guests are invited to learn fun facts about the animals in the Spooky Zoo Education Zone, stimulate their minds while making crafts, collect treats and enjoy entertainment throughout the zoo while dressed in their best or spookiest costume.
THROUGHOUT THE ZOO
Noon–2 p.m.—Haunted house, arts and crafts, educational activities and trick-or-treating
SPOOKY STAGE IN THE MAIN MALL
11 a.m. Charizma (Move your body to the high-energy musical stylings of these festive deejays)
Noon Zoo Family Feud
12:25 p.m. “Monstercise” with Bernie Salazar* (Get active with the right “moves” to good healthy fun)

Lincoln Park Zoo is proud to welcome Bernie Salazar, the at-home winner from season 5 of NBC's “The Biggest Loser,” to the be the Master of Ceremonies for this year’s Spooky Zoo Spectacular! Bernie Salazar is announcing the upcoming release of his children’s book “Monstercise,” which focuses on getting kids up and active by encouraging them to use their imagination as they participate in a series of fun and exciting movements with the help of an imaginary little monster named Frank.
