Spooky Zoo Spectacular, hosted by the Auxiliary Board, was better than ever this year. We enjoyed a great turnout, the weather was beautiful and the zoo grounds looked more exotic than ever with the costumed kids trick-or-treating at animal houses. Thanks to everyone who came out for this wonderful, free, family-friendly event, the zoo’s Auxiliary Board for hosting it, master of ceremonies Bernie Salazar and all the sponsors who helped make it possible, including U.S. Bank, Chicago Dental Society, Crest, Oral-B, Lifeway Kefir, Glascott’s Saloon and more.

The day’s events included trick-or-treating across zoo grounds, music and dancing on the Main Mall, arts and crafts in the Kovler Lion House, a Goosebumps book giveaway and the Spooky Zoo Education Zone.
