Nature in Motion: Sculpture at Lincoln Park Zoo
Enjoy a free, public exhibition of sculptures located throughout the zoo’s beautiful gardens! Free, guided tours of the large-scale works by local artists are offered at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Adult Yoga at the Zoo Presented by Walgreens
Enjoy outdoor yoga classes in the most scenic “studio” in Chicago: Nature Boardwalk at Lincoln Park Zoo! Take in views of surrounding gardens, wildlife and the city skyline while learning or perfecting the basics of hatha and vinyasa yoga in classes targeted to beginner and intermediate yoga practitioners.

Conservation Camp
Conservation Camp offers half-day and full-day program options for animal and nature lovers from Pre-K to those entering fourth grade in fall 2015. Each Conservation Camp group explores the zoo and participates in activities to discover animal diversity, environmental conservation and ways Lincoln Park Zoo cares for animals at the zoo and conserves them in the wild.

Zoo Crew
Zoo Crew is a summer learning and outreach opportunity for kids entering fifth–eighth grade in the fall. Participants in the summer 2014 program work with peers and zoo staff to develop and implement environmentally minded projects to make positive changes in their own communities.

Two Chicago institutions are coming together as Lincoln Park Zoo hosts the premiere of the Lyric Opera’s new opera for children, “Second Nature.” Aimed at children ages 7-12, this futuristic, cautionary environmental tale by Matthew Aucoin will have free showings at Café Brauer on Wednesday, August 19 (10 a.m. and noon) and Thursday, August 20 (4 p.m. and 6 p.m.).
