Ice Skating at Lincoln Park Zoo
Participants of all ages can enjoy ice skating all winter long at our rink at the Farm-in-the-Zoo! Bring your own skates or rent them at the Farmhouse. Warm up in the Main Barn and enjoy refreshments for purchase. Lockers are available for rental. Value pass options are also available for frequent visits!

Children ages 2–3 and an adult can connect with nature in an immersive play space that includes animal encounters, building, drawing, climbing and music-making activities.

Teens interested in applying for a summer internship, apprenticeship or volunteer opportunity at Lincoln Park Zoo can learn more by attending a free info session from 1–3 p.m. at the zoo’s Judy Keller Education Center. Former participants and program facilitators will be present to answer questions.

Families with kids of all ages can hop over to the zoo for an Easter weekend celebration including a pancake breakfast, an egg hunt, photos with the Easter Bunny, animal viewing and complimentary rides on the AT&T Endangered Species Carousel and Lionel Train Adventure.

United Run for the Zoo
The 33rd annual United Run for the Zoo is a highlight of the Chicago racing calendar, featuring a 10K run, 5K run/walk and mini obstacle course for kids ages 8 and under. Race courses follow routes around and through the zoo. This year’s event includes several exciting updates in response to participant feedback last year.

Conservation Camp
Conservation Camp offers half-day and full-day program options for animal and nature lovers from Pre-K to those entering fourth grade in fall 2015. Each Conservation Camp group explores the zoo and participates in activities to discover animal diversity, environmental conservation and ways Lincoln Park Zoo cares for animals at the zoo and conserves them in the wild.

Zoo Crew
Zoo Crew is a summer learning and outreach opportunity for kids entering fifth–eighth grade in the fall. Participants in the summer 2014 program work with peers and zoo staff to develop and implement environmentally minded projects to make positive changes in their own communities.
