Join us to celebrate our big, burly buddies while learning about their fascinating lives. Find out what polar bears experience when they plunge into icy seas.  Participate in Beary Fun Storytime and learn to “walk like a bear.”  Compare the length of your tongue to the Asian Sun Bears.  Bear Lovers of all kinds will create enrichment items to present to the animals, match their heart rate to that of a black bear, and more.

“This is a fun way to learn about bears while exploring both their unique physical features and the struggles many of them face in the wild,” explains Nancy DeFiesta, Bear Awareness Week coordinator. The schedule is as follows:
