Volunteers are needed for Lincoln Park Zoo’s Spooky Zoo Spectacular!
Saturday, October 24
11 a.m. Family entertainment
Noon–2 p.m. Haunted house, arts & crafts, educational activities and trick-or-treating
Lincoln Park Zoo’s Halloween celebration, hosted by the Auxiliary Board, is an opportunity for children to celebrate the holiday in a free, safe and family-friendly environment. Guests are invited to “explore your backyard” in the Spooky Zoo Education Zone, make creative projects in the U.S. Bank Arts and Crafts Zone, get thrilled in the Haunted House and enjoy entertainment while collecting treats throughout the zoo.

What: Volunteers are needed to help outdoors with setting up treat stations, distributing candy, cleaning up, controlling crowds, meeting and greeting, handing out programs and trick-or-treat bags and lending a hand with other projects throughout the zoo.
When: 10 a.m.–3 p.m. October 24
Where: Meet at Café Brauer (2021 N. Stockton)
How: Team captains can register their groups by calling 312-742-2163 or emailing spookyzoo@lpzoo.org by October 16
Details: Check in by 10 a.m. for orientation and a light breakfast. Please leave all valuables at home and dress for the outdoors. Assignments will be distributed by group on the day of the event. Prizes will be awarded to the volunteers wearing the scariest, most original and most “zoo-ey” costumes!

Be sure to join us for the volunteer post-party at Glascott’s Groggery (2158 N. Halsted) starting at 3 p.m.
Help support Spooky Zoo by purchasing and wearing a Spooky Zoo T-shirt at the volunteer breakfast—-$12 each or two for $20. Adult and children’s sizes will be available.
