You've discovered some of the connections in the web of life
on earth. Everything you eat is a link to the wild.
In "Energy
= Life" you learned that all living things are connected
by a transfer of energy from the sun, to plants, to the animals
that eat plants.
In "What's
for Lunch?" you discovered where some of your everyday
foods come from.
In "It's
All Relative?" you learned some surprising numbers.
Things like--how long different things live, and how many there
are of different organisms.
If you ask yourself "How
am I connected to nature and wild animals?" you should be
able to come up with lots of different answers. In the Level 2
games, you'll discover that among different wild animals the same
is true: There are many ways that animals depend on each other,
and on the special places where they live.
In the next game, "World
of Difference" you will build a jigsaw puzzle of the earth
where the parts are made up of different habitats, like tropical
rainforest, and grassland. Different animals live in each of these
places.
The game "Who
Needs Whom" shows what happens to a community of
animals when one or more goes extinct.
In "Bouncing
Back " you'll see how a rich web of life comes to
a new volcanic island.
