Those who are wild at heart can woo their loved ones at the zoo on Valentine’s Day. This adults-only event will take place inside Regenstein African Journey. Champagne and chocolates will be served as participants get the inside scoop on the risqué side of animal courtship—the wild lives of wildlife.
5:30–7 p.m. or 7:30–9 p.m.
$45 ($40 for members)
For participants ages 21 and older

Sarah Long, M.S. Director of the Population Management Center, Sarah is a professional animal matchmaker. She uses detailed pedigrees and expert input to pair zoo animals across the country, from tigers and monkeys to birds and snakes. |

Mark Kamhout As zoological manager for Regenstein African Journey and Carnivores, Mark works with a team of professionals to ensure the atmosphere is just right for animal introductions at Lincoln Park Zoo. |

Rachel Santymire, Ph.D. The director of the Davee Center for Epidemiology and Endocrinology analyzes the reproductive hormones of zoo residents to find the perfect moment to introduce a feisty male tiger to a receptive female. Rachel has also developed animal pregnancy tests to alert the zoo team when a baby is on the way. |
