Conquer the Cold on Veterans Day at the Zoo!

Join us at Lincoln Park Zoo during your day off from school! Veteran’s Day Zoo Camp offers exciting learning opportunities for animal and nature lovers in PreK–fourth grade. Each camp group will explore the zoo and participate in a variety of activities. Activities will focus on animal diversity, environmental conservation and the ways Lincoln Park Zoo cares for animals at the zoo and conserves them in the wild.

The theme for this camp is “The Great Hibernation”! As the cold weather settles in each November, have you ever wished you could just go to sleep and wake up to warm, sunny skies? While hibernation is a little different, there are many animals that enter a sleep-like state in order to survive harsh, northern winters. Come explore the lives of animals that bury, burrow, huddle and hide themselves away to conquer the cold.

Active Lincoln Park Zoo members at any level receive a 15 percent discount on registration. Become a member today!
