Learning About Lincoln Park Zoo As a Living Classroom

The 2012 Educator Open House had 283 educators stop by after hours to learn how to harness Lincoln Park Zoo in the classroom. Our professional educators shared field trip activities, copies of the latest curriculum materials and an inside look at the zoo’s amazing animals.

The experience was a hit. “Before tonight, I didn’t know the mass amounts of resources available,” said one teacher.

“These opportunities help me to plan a field trip where the children can learn more about animals,” added another.

Couldn’t make it to the 2012 Educator Open House? You can still choose from a range of free, fun resources available at our Educator’s Resources webpage.
