Workshop: Create a Hypertufa Pot

Join the zoo’s director of horticulture, Brian Houck, in this hands-on workshop. Houck will guide you in the easy process of making your own artistic and decorative hypertufa pot—sure to be the envy of your neighbors. Hypertufa is an artificial stone used for making long-lasting decorative garden accents. Participants will help prepare the mix and form their own molds as well as carve one premade for them.
9–11 a.m.
$13 ($10 for members), $25 material fee for two hypertufa pots to take home
