About Laura Franske:
Laura joined the Animal Care team after obtaining her graduate degree working with a prominent comparative/zoo nutritionist at Cal Poly on a research project involving leopard tortoise digestion. Before starting her graduate education, she worked as a hospital keeper at the Wildlife Conservation Society in Bronx, NY and completed two animal keeper internships at White Oak Conservation Center in Yulee, FL. Laura also spent a semester in Namibia with Round River Conservation Studies assisting with field research for Save the Rhino Trust.
