About Julie Duke:
As conservation programs assistant, Julie works closely with the conservation programs coordinator to run day-to-day Conservation Programs operations. She conducts daily administrative tasks, monitors budgetary expenditures and assists with various projects supporting the zoo’s conservation mission.
Julie’s interest in conservation stems from time volunteering at multiple wildlife rehabilitation centers in her native St. Louis. During college, she completed an internship at Jane Goodall's Roots & Shoots in Boston and was a Resource Efficiency Program (REP) representative for her dorm. As an REP, she educated fellow students on sustainable living and encouraged eco-friendly actions throughout the college community.
Julie is excited to continue learning about wildlife conservation during her time at the zoo and pursue her passion for protecting animals and the environment.
