About Ashley Pich:

Ashley joined the Lincoln Park Zoo veterinary team in January 2012. During college she worked as a vet assistant at a local small-animal practice beginning in 2008. In her last few months before graduation from Joliet Junior College, she held a three-month externship at Brookfield Zoo.

Soon after graduation in May 2011, Ashley received her national veterinary technician license and returned to Brookfield Zoo to complete a seven-month post-graduate preceptorship. She has traveled abroad to South America, where she participated in an ongoing humanitarian and primate-observation project. Ashley is also a member of the Association of Zoo Veterinary Technicians.
