About Alexandra Confer:
Alexandra is a senior at DePaul University and is applying to veterinary school this fall. In addition to being an intern at Lincoln Park Zoo, she conducts undergraduate research and is the laboratory manger of a lab that studies the origin and evolution of biological diversity in temperate and tropical fishes.
Alexandra moved to Chicago in 2009 and has spent the last three years exploring veterinary medicine concentrations through interning, volunteering and shadowing. Based on these experiences, she has come to realize her passion for exotic species and wildlife medicine.
