A Preview of Nature Boardwalk

The decorated windows were made famous at Marshall Field's. The tradition continues with Macy’s. And now Nature Boardwalk at Lincoln Park Zoo is being celebrated with a window display that provides a glimpse of what the new destination will look like. The windows are much smaller and filled with fewer frogs, fish and fireflies than Nature Boardwalk will be, but until the grand opening of the the zoo’s new wild oasis on June 24 they’ll offer shoppers and pedestrians a little taste of what’s to come.

Free Yoga at Nature Boardwalk

Attend a free yoga class at Nature Boardwalk at Lincoln Park Zoo on June 24 from 11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. No need to register—just bring your own mat and stop by the Peoples Gas Pavilion at Nature Boardwalk to participate. *This class is part of the grand opening of Nature Boardwalk and media may be present. All yoga participants will be asked to sign a photography waiver, since photographs and video of the class may be taken for promotional use.

Run Recap

Thanks to all who supported United Run for the Zoo! We had a record-breaking year with 5,000 runners and thousands of cheerful spectators. Special thanks to United Airlines, Lifeway Kefir, Starfruit Café and New Balance Chicago for making this event a huge success!

Congressman in the Rhino Yard

As part of his “undercover congressman” program, Illinois Congressman Mike Quigley on Saturday worked in the rhinoceros yard within Regenstein African Journey.
