Harvest Days Crops Up this Weekend!

Join us this weekend, October 13 and 14, for our annual Harvest Days festival at the Farm-in-the-Zoo! Watching your kids decorate pumpkins in our patch is one game of squash you won’t want to miss. The free fun for all ages also includes music, fun food, animal encounters and other seasonal activities.

Our Urban Wildlife Institute staff utilizes a variety of equipment to monitor local wildlife—from radio transmitters for smooth green snakes to spotting scopes for birds and turtles at Nature Boardwalk at Lincoln Park Zoo. You can help the team’s scientists research local ecosystems and human-wildlife interaction by chipping in for urban-safari essentials on our current Wish List.

Farm Fun at the Zoo

It’s all about the farm this fall at the zoo. Visit the Farm-in-the-Zoo for our annual Harvest Days festival on Saturday and Sunday, October 13 and 14. The family fun includes pumpkin decorating, music, food, animal encounters and more. You can also support animal care for our domestic pigs, Shetland ponies and Holstein cows by purchasing a special farm-themed ADOPT package.
