Going Green on Three Wheels

Hope everyone has enjoyed Chicago Bike to Work Week! Lincoln Park Zoo has just added some pedal power of its own with the purchase of two specialty trikes, ridden here by Steven Correa and Kyle Freeman.

Maintenance, cleaning and parking personnel, among others, will use the trikes to travel and transfer small objects around the zoo. They should provide a green—and maneuverable—alternative to the golf carts currently in service.

Tickets Still Available at the Gate for SuperZooPicnic Tonight

Tickets are still available for only $10 at the gate for Blue Ribbon SuperZooPicnic, which runs from 6 to 8:30 p.m. tonight. SZP is our annual member-appreciation event, when zoo members and their families have exclusive access to zoo grounds for one evening. This year features a special state fair theme, complete with a kid-sized Ferris wheel, midway games, animal encounters and a pie-eating contest. We look forward to having a Blue Ribbon blast with you!
