Golden-Breasted Starling

A golden-breasted starling perches on a tree branch and shows its metallic blue wings inside the free flight area of McCormick Bird House. This species is from eastern Africa and lives in groups of up to a dozen.

A Zoo Loss
It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected loss of female klipspringer calf Asha. Yesterday a zookeeper found Asha unresponsive in her behind-the-scenes habitat at Regenstein African Journey and immediately rushed the calf to the veterinary hospital, where she was confirmed as deceased.
