“Predator” Meets Prey

What would you do if you came face to face with a “predator”? If you’re one of the zoo’s Sichuan takins, you’d offer it a nice nuzzle, as this “before” photo from Keeper Jason Martin shows.

Now the “after.” In a reversal, the prey is walking away with a mouthful of predator! Pinatas like these, crafted by the zoo’s Volunteer Enrichment Group, offer extra stimulation for wildlife throughout the zoo. Thanks to volunteer Kim Raymond for this photo!
