Holy Moley!

The zoo’s naked mole rats—one of the only mammalian species to live like colonies of bees or ants—will fascinate third–fourth graders during next weekend’s Second Saturdays Showcase on October 12.

Zoo families is the theme of this month’s Second Saturdays Showcase, which offers a different spin on the subject for various age groups. The third–fourth grade group will explore Regenstein Small Mammal-Reptile House, where they’ll also learn amazing family facts about wallabies, dwarf caimans, ground boas and red footed tortoises.
