Destroy the Flyers
Last Friday, the male Amur tiger at Lincoln Park Zoo’s Kovler Lion House was presented a box emblazoned with the Philadelphia Flyers logo. He promptly destroyed it. (Of course, the meaty bone hidden inside the box might have motivated the big cat.)
The tiger isn’t the only one involved in the Chicago Blackhawks’ quest for the Stanley Cup. Lincoln Park Zoo President Kevin Bell and Philadelphia Zoo President Vik Dewan have a gentleman’s bet on the series—the losing city’s zoo president must wear the opponent’s team jersey on their home turf while serving visitors a culinary specialty of the other’s choosing.
