I am trying to write a story on the Piping Plovers and their endangerment for Columbia College Chicago. I know the Lincoln Park Zoo has these birds, is there any way I can do an in-person interview with you or someone that knows about these birds?

Ashley, these birds are listed as endangered in Canada and in the Great Lakes region because the birds' habit of nesting on the open beach leaves their eggs vulnerable to construction and human activity. Efforts are being made to protect nesting sites and recover abandoned eggs and chicks to grow the population.
Sally, Sunny responds: "While earning my degree, I spent many summers interning and volunteering at a zoo. Once I graduated from college, I began my zoo career as a petting zoo attendant and worked my way up. In short, a lot of hard work and dedication to my career! It is, by far, the best job ever!"
