ZooLights Coat Drive Delivers First Batch
Brrrr! It’s getting cold out there. All the more reason to donate to the zoo’s coat drive, which benefits local social service organizations and charities.
Bring new and gently used winter clothing to ZooLights Presented by ComEd and Charter One. (Hours this weekend: 5–9 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday.) Donation boxes are located at Gateway Pavilion and Park Place Café.
This week, we donated the first batch—20 women’s coats and 15 children’s coats—to Pilsen Wellness Center. The 45-year-old organization provides a range of youth, education, mental health, substance abuse and HIV services to individuals and families with limited financial resources.
Thank you to all who helped brighten the lives of others less fortunate during this season of sharing!
