Learn Zoo Science Behind-the-Scenes!
If you’re interested in zoo-based biology, you won’t want to miss Scoop on Poop on Saturday, March 2.
Researchers at the zoo’s Davee Center for Epidemiology and Endocrinology maintain a low profile but fill a critical role in monitoring the reproductive cycles, stress and nutritional health of animals at the zoo and in the field. How? By analyzing hormones in fecal samples.
This special program for participants ages 16 and older gives you the lowdown on animal hormone research and includes behind-the-scenes visits to the Davee Center and the black rhino habitat!
