To celebrate the occasion, we’re highlighting one of the zoo’s top moms, Bolivian gray titi monkey Delasol. She’s had eight offspring at the Helen Brach Primate House!

To honor Bolivian gray titi monkey Delasol on Mother’s Day, keepers put together some sweet treats for her and her group. Here we have honey and raisins.

Delasol is also celebrating her 21st birthday on Tuesday—an advanced age for a titi monkey. Here she grabs raisins from a peanut-butter treat.

Delasol’s eighth offspring—Ocho—was born in October 2011. Mom was 20 at the time, making her the oldest titi monkey on record with the Species Survival Plan to have given birth!

Here’s a look back at Ocho soon after he was born.

Here’s Matzah (2009)

Madeira (2008)

Suriqui (2007)

Zongo (2006)

Maniqui (2003)

Trinidad (1999). Trinidad has produced a child as well at Utah’s Hogle Zoo, making Delasol a grandmother!

As you can see, the titi monkeys liked the extra enrichment. Hopefully all the moms out enjoyed some special treatment of their own on Mother’s Day!
