Silent, solitary and aloof, rarely is the jaguar seen in the wild. Yet scientists know jaguar populations are dwindling and the situation for the largest cat in the New World is reaching crisis proportions. Governments throughout the Americas have declared the jaguar endangered and many groups around the world are working to conserve these gorgeous creatures. But what threatens jaguars the most and what is the best way to save the big cats?

Lincoln Park Zoo is building new partnerships and new scientific models to find the answers.
