Food and a View

Café at Wild Things!

Fresh, made-to-order dishes are crafted from foods provided by local farmers using organic, sustainable methods, which means they taste great and are great for the Earth. Try Mediterranean salads, turkey-breast sandwiches, cheesy corn cakes, fruiy smoothies and more...

Foreman Pavilion
If you’re looking for some relaxation with your meal, take your food over to the Foreman Pavilion and enjoy lunch in the shade of one of the four shelters. The picnic tables offer pleasant views of the flamingos and geese inhabiting the Waterfowl Lagoon. Sharp-eyed guests may be able to spot native birds visiting the area as well—great-horned owls and blue herons are periodic guests, in addition to a variety of songbirds. After eating, be sure to head north to the butterfly garden outside the exit of Regenstein Small Mammal-Reptile House to see a variety of flowering plants and beautiful insects.

Lester E. Fisher Bridge
While the best view in the zoo belongs to Big Cats Café, a close contender for the crown is the Lester E. Fisher Bridge, which links the main zoo to the Farm-in-the-Zoo Presented by John Deere. Offering a great vantage point for seeing the South Pond and the Farm, the bridge also has the Chicago skyline framed in the background, making it the ideal spot for a photo. After posing for the family portrait, head down to Café Brauer to reserve a ride on Lincoln Park Zoo’s famed swan paddleboats.
